ACTIVITIES OF THE MOSCOW BUDDHIST SOCIETY
The Society’s leadership is exercised by the Council, elected at a general meeting of the Society. In addition to its religious activities, the Moscow Buddhist Society is engaged in social, cultural and educational activities in cooperation with interested organizations, as well as in publishing.
The construction of the Buddhist Temple with a Stupa in the Сity of Moscow – the capital of multi-national Russia – is a main task of the Moscow Buddhist Society. The Moscow Buddhist Society has initiated this Project, which has an important role for the whole country. The implementation of the Project of the construction by the Moscow Buddhist Society has received the support of the Moscow Government, the Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Moscow Buddhist Society I.D. Kobzon and citizens of Moscow district Otradnoe.
Representatives of the Moscow Buddhist Society include people of different nationalities and provide full-range assistance in the construction of the Buddhist Temple with a Stupa in Moscow, which completes the existing the global religions Complex situated in Otradnoe district. The Moscow Buddhist Society has performed a great amount of work for the development and coordination of all project documentation and permissions for the construction of the Buddhist Temple with a Stupa in Moscow to be built at: Moscow, Novovladykinsky proezd, ow. 15. In 2015, the Moscow Buddhist Society started the сonstruction works at the site.
A SPIRITUAL TEACHER OF THE MOSCOW BUDDHIST SOCIETY
From July, 23d till August, 2nd, 2015 Venerable Jhado Rinpoche visited Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. At present, Khensur Jhado Tulku Rinpoche is appointed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama XIV to the post of Abbot of Gyuto Tantric Monastery.
During the meeting with the Chairperson of the Moscow Buddhist Society, Dulma Shagdarova on 23d July Jhado Rinpoche agreed to be recognised as a Spiritual Teacher of this religious organization.
