The sacred Buddhist month of Saga Dawa, the fourth month of the Tibetan lunar calendar, started on May 26th.

During the entire holy month, Buddhists are in practice of all methods of accumulating merits: they devote more time to spiritual disciplines, take Mahayana vows and Bodhisattva vows, make the pilgrimage to holy places, make the practice of Kora around temples, stupas, bring offerings to monastic communities and the poor. The month of Saga Dawa lasts until June 24th.

Representatives of the Government of Moscow have also visited the Stupa being under the construction.

The construction of the Stupa of Enlightenment is in progress. This is its view by mid-April.

In addition, the first embedding of the Buddhist sacred objects of worship was made into the Stupa on April 1st, 2017. The next embedding is scheduled to be made in about a month.

The construction work continued immediately after the beginning of the year of 2017.
